A familiar little presence, made with care
Hi, I’m Tammy, the ceramic artist behind Farbe Ceramics. My own search for a meaningful memorial showed me how hard it can be to find something that feels like the companion you love. I wanted to create pieces that hold those familiar details: a crooked marking, a favorite resting pose, or the expression you know so well.
That is where I begin with your piece. I listen to your ideas, look closely at your photos, and guide the design with you. My studio team and I turn those details into a personal ceramic keepsake, made and painted by hand.
The work behind each piece
Our jars are thrown on the wheel. Our animal forms and figurines are cast in molds, then finished and painted by hand. Different shapes need different techniques, but each piece receives the same attention to the details you share.
The urn builder gives us a starting point for colors, motifs, and words. I’ll help you agree on the design, and share a painted proof for your approval before the final firing. Small variations are part of working with clay and glaze.
