Your design
Can you make a piece that looks like my pet?
Yes. We use your photos to guide the colors, markings, and features. The builder lets you explore a shape, optional designs, and personal words. I’ll review the details with you before we begin. A handmade piece is an interpretation of your companion, with natural variations in shape and color.
What photos do you need?
Photos of the face, both sides and back help me understand the whole coat pattern. Please point out the photograph that shows their usual colour most accurately, and tell me in words about any details the camera misses. Old photographs are welcome. If you only have one or two, send what you have and we can work through what they show together.
Can I add a name, dates, or a special detail?
Yes. You can add personal words and choose the available motifs in the builder. If you have another idea, such as a favorite flower or a meaningful marking, tell me in your order notes or contact me before ordering so we can confirm what is possible.
Can I request a different size or a completely new shape?
Yes. Please contact me with your idea, reference photos, and the capacity you need. We’ll agree on the design, dimensions, price, and estimated making time before production.
Will I see my piece before the final firing?
Yes. I’ll share a painted proof for your approval before the final firing. This is the point to discuss adjustments. Glaze colors develop in the kiln, so the finished shade can differ slightly from the painted proof and your screen.
Can I choose open or closed eyes and leave off the name?
Tell me which expression feels most like your pet. We can discuss open or closed eyes where the chosen form allows it. Names and dates are optional. If you would like personal words, we can agree where they should sit before painting.
Can I choose a matte, satin or glossy finish?
Please ask me to show you finished examples and confirm which finishes are available for your particular piece. Matte, satin and glossy surfaces reflect light differently. A photograph can help you compare them, although lighting and screens affect how the finish appears.
Is the builder preview the same as my painted proof?
No. The builder preview records your design choices. The painted proof shows your physical piece before its final firing. For a fully bespoke shape, we may also agree a model or shape study before making. I will explain the approval stages for your commission, so you know what you are looking at and what can still change.
Can you change the ears, tail or pose?
Please send the idea before ordering. A change to the sculpture is different from a painted marking and may need a bespoke form. I need to check the structure, making time and cost before confirming it. Parts such as a raised tail also need enough support to be made in ceramic.
Choosing a piece and size
What kinds of memorials do you make?
Our collection includes cat, dog, rabbit, and small-pet urns, portrait jars, figurine urns, and bespoke sculptures. We also make memorial urns for loved ones and decorative keepsakes. The Cat Figurine Ornament is a decorative piece and does not hold ashes.
How do I choose the right capacity?
Please ask your crematory for the volume of the ashes you plan to keep. Allow extra room if they will remain in a bag. Body weight alone is an estimate and cannot guarantee a fit. Check the capacity of the specific piece, or contact me before ordering if it is not listed.
For the standard jar designs, approximate capacities are: Extra Small 200 ml (12 cu in), Small 650 ml (40 cu in), Medium 880 ml (54 cu in), and Large 1,800 ml (110 cu in). Shaped urns and human urns have their own capacities; these jar measurements do not apply to every product.
Do I need to send you my pet’s ashes?
No. I do not receive or handle ashes. Your memorial arrives empty. You can ask your crematory to help with placing the ashes inside, or choose to do this yourself when you feel ready. You can keep them in their existing container until then.
Is a figurine the whole urn or just the ornament?
Please check the purchase option carefully. A figurine ornament is a decorative piece and does not hold ashes. A figurine urn includes the vessel described in its listing. If you are unsure whether a photograph shows the complete urn or an ornament on its own, send me the link and I will confirm before you order.
How are the ashes placed inside?
The opening and closure depend on the shape. Many animal forms use a stopper underneath, while jars have their own closure. Please ask me to confirm the opening dimensions for the exact piece, particularly if the ashes will stay in a bag. Your crematory can also help with the transfer. Do not force a bag through an opening that is too small.
Can I plan a piece before my pet has passed away?
Yes. You are welcome to plan ahead, or choose a decorative keepsake. We can talk through what feels right for you.
Making and ordering
How are your pieces made?
Our jars are thrown on the wheel. Our animal forms and figurines are cast in molds, then finished and painted by hand. I guide the design with you and work with my studio team to create your piece.
How do I order using the builder?
On your chosen product page, personalize the piece in its builder and click Save Design. This saves the preview and written choices to your order and downloads a copy. Check the saved image, selected options, size and price before checkout, and upload your reference photographs separately. You only need to attach the saved preview manually if the automatic attachment is missing. If the image or options do not match, contact Tammy before paying. Use the product page to complete personalization rather than adding an unpersonalized item directly from chat.
How much does a piece cost?
The current price is shown on the product page for the purchase options you select. For a size or design outside those options, contact me for a quote before ordering. Shipping and applicable import duties and taxes are included in the price you pay.
How long does it take?
Existing shapes usually take 6 to 8 weeks after we agree on your design details. Custom sizes and fully bespoke shapes usually take 8 to 10 weeks. Delivery time is additional, and I’ll confirm the estimate for your piece.
Can you meet a particular date?
Please contact me before ordering if you have a date in mind. I’ll let you know what is possible for the design and current studio schedule. I cannot promise a rush service without checking those details.
Delivery, changes, and care
Where do you deliver?
Available destinations are shown at checkout. If your country is not listed, contact me before ordering so I can check availability.
Will there be import charges on delivery?
We ship duty-paid. Shipping and all applicable import duties and taxes are included in the price you pay, with no additional import charges due on delivery.
Can I cancel or return my order?
You can request cancellation within 24 hours of ordering, provided design or making work has not begun. Personalized pieces are not eligible for change-of-mind returns once work begins. This does not affect your rights if something arrives damaged, faulty, or not as ordered. Please read the refund policy for full details.
What if my piece arrives damaged?
Please contact me with your order number and keep the piece and packaging. I’ll ask for photos so we can understand what happened and arrange the appropriate remedy. We replace pieces damaged in transit.
How should I care for my piece?
Display it indoors on a stable surface, away from knocks and direct heat. Handle it gently and wipe it with a soft cloth. Ceramic can break if dropped; outdoor display or burial is not recommended.
Where can I see customer reviews and finished work?
You can read verified customer feedback in our Etsy shop. Some website images are design illustrations. If you would like photographs of completed pieces in a particular style, please ask me.
